The East Java DPRD Deputy Chairman Blegur Prijanggono Supports President Prabowo’s Policy Direction, Reaffirms Commitment to Advancing Central Government Programs for Public Welfare

According to Blegur, President Prabowo’s policy direction is relevant to the nation’s current challenges, particularly in promoting social justice and improving the welfare of people in the regions.

Blegur Supports President Prabowo’s Policy Direction

Blegur said the East Java DPRD is ready to follow up on President Prabowo’s message, particularly with regard to strengthening the people’s economy and improving public welfare.

“We at the East Java DPRD welcome and are fully prepared to follow up on President Prabowo’s important directives. The key priorities of improving public welfare and strengthening the grassroots economy must serve as the main guidelines in formulating regional budget policies and development programs,” Blegur said when contacted in Surabaya on Friday (August 14, 2026).

The Golkar politician added that synergy between the central and regional governments is key to optimizing Local Own-Source Revenue (PAD) and ensuring that every program aimed at benefiting the public is implemented effectively and reaches its intended beneficiaries.

He also reaffirmed his commitment to overseeing strategic national policies to ensure that their benefits are felt directly by the people of East Java.

The East Java DPRD Strengthens Oversight and Budgetary Functions

Blegur emphasized that the spirit of independence must be realized through concrete action by the government and legislative institutions.

“As emphasized by the President, independence must truly be given meaning through concrete action. At the East Java DPRD, we will continue to strengthen our oversight and budgetary functions, particularly in crucial sectors such as public services, education, healthcare, and poverty alleviation,” Blegur concluded.

In his state address delivered at the Parliamentary Complex in Jakarta, President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto emphasized the importance of welfare, justice, and prosperity for all Indonesians.

In his speech, President Prabowo also emphasized national development focused on strengthening the people’s economy, alleviating poverty, and combating various forms of misconduct that harm state finances.

Synergy between the central and regional governments is considered essential to translating the national development vision into programs that have a direct impact on public welfare.
