Surabaya, November 03, 2025 - The DPRD of the Province of East Java has officially established a Special Committee (Pansus) on Local-Owned Enterprises (BUMD) to discuss and evaluate the performance of Local-Owned Enterprises (BUMD) within the East Java Provincial Government.
This initiative is part of the DPRD's contribution to strengthen the surveillance function of financial management and the BUMD's performance to be more efficient, transparent, and contribute significantly to the Regional Original Revenue (PAD).
Plenary Session Affirmed by Acclamation
The plenary session for the establishment of the BUMD Special Committee was chaired by the Deputy Chairman of the East Java DPRD, Sri Wahyuni, who also led the approval process of the members from various factions.
“Do we approve the formation of the BUMD Special Committee?” asked Sri Wahyuni during the plenary session on Monday, November 03, 2025.
The question was answered unanimously by the attending legislative members with the word, “Agreed!”
Composition of the East Java DPRD Pansus BUMD
The following is the composition of the East Java DPRD BUMD Special Committee from each faction:
PKB Faction: Fauzan Fuadi, Muhammad Abdul Qodir, Multazamudz Dzikri, Muhammad Ashari, Nur Faizin, and Hikmah Bafaqih.
PDIP faction: Sri Untari Bisowarno, Agus Wicaksono, Yordan M. Batara Goa, and Fuad Benardi.
Gerindra faction: Abdul Halim, Aufa Zhafiri, Ferdians Reza Alvisa, and Satib.
Golkar faction: Pranaya Yudha Mahardhika, Hadi Setiawan, and Hasan Irsyad.
Democrat faction: Agung Mulyono and Dedi Irwansya.
NasDem faction: Mohammad Nasih Aschal and Ahmad Iwan Zunaih.
PAN faction: Abdullah Abu Bakar.
PKS faction: Lilik Hendarwati.
PPP–PSI faction: Rofiq.
Special Committee Aimed at strengthening transparency and efficiency of BUMD
In her directive, Sri Wahyuni emphasized that the formation of BUMD Special Committee is not merely a formality, but a strategic measure to ensure all BUMD under the East Java Provincial Government can operate efficiently, accountably, and competitively.
"BUMD have a strategic role as engines of the regional economy. The DPRD is obligated to ensure that every BUMD is able to provide maximum benefits to the people of East Java," she emphasized.
Besides evaluating financial performance, Sri Wahyuni said, Special Committee will also highlight aspects of governance, investment, and public services carried out by each BUMD, including restructuring and business innovation.
“The establishment of the Special Committee is expected to be a momentum for East Java BUMD to improve and strengthen their performance as engines of regional economic development,” she concluded.
